Zoho Office Suite

The Zoho Office Suite is a Web-based online office suite containing word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, note-taking, wikis,customer relationship management (CRM), project management, invoicing and other applications developed by ZOHO Corporation (formally AdventNet Inc.), a US-based company.

Zoho uses an open Application Programming Interface for its Writer, Sheet, Show, Creator, Meeting, and Planner products. It also has plugins into Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, an OpenOffice.orgplugin, and a plugin for Firefox.

Scribd

Scribd is also a web-hosting service just like mediafire, but this site is made specifically for references in, for example, our projects, assignments, and could also be a guide for almost every paperwork.

Scribd uses iPaper which is a rich document format similar to PDF built for the web, which allows users to embed documents into a web page. iPaper was built with Adobe Flash, allowing it to be viewed the same across different operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux) without conversion, as long as the reader has Flash installed (although Scribd has announced non-Flash support for the iPhone). All major document types can be formatted into iPaper including Word docs, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, OpenDocument documents, OpenOffice.org XML documents, andPostScript files.

All iPaper documents are hosted on Scribd. Scribd allows published documents to either be private or open to the larger Scribd community. The iPaper document viewer is also embeddable in any website or blog, making it simple to embed documents in their original layout regardless of file format.

Scribd iPaper requires that Flash cookies are enabled, which is the default setting in Flash. If the requirements are not met, there is no message; the white or gray display area is simply blank.

Scribd launched its own API to power external/third-party applications, however, only a few applications use this API.  Its revenue model has gained coverage on numerous blogs such asTechCrunch.

Mediafire is a free-file hosting/sharing service. Statistics says that millions of people around the world is using it for easy file sharing.

This online application is very easy to use because it uses a drag and drop system to upload files, plus, each file can have a limit memory of up to 250 mb, which is very nice. Drag and drop the file, copy then paste the URL to any sites, or simply google it for a free easy access. There you have it, mediafire.

Windows Live Skydrive

Windows Live SkyDrive (initially Windows Live Folders) is part of Microsoft's Windows Live range of online services. SkyDrive is a File hosting service that allows users to upload files to a cloud storage and then access them from a Web browser. It uses Windows Live ID to control access to the user's files, allowing them to keep the files private, share with contacts, or make the files public. Publicly-shared files do not require a Windows Live ID to access.

The service offers 25 GB of free personal storage, with individual files limited to 50 MB. A Silverlight-based tool can be installed to allow drag-and-drop uploading from any Silverlight enabled browser such as Windows Explorer on a Windows machine or Safari on a Apple Macintoshcomputer. Up to five files can be uploaded each time if the tool has not been installed.

If you need to track time efficiently, you’ll go a long way to find an application that does the job as well and proficiently as SlimTimer. I actually looked around quite a while after finding this app a month or so ago to ensure that there was nothing better and I came up dry. Slim Timer is built on the solid Ruby on Rails framework and has some tasteful usage of Ajax. Its a simple application to use, but one that is largely capable of time tracking for any size corporation or project. Future to-do’s areBlinksale integration for easy invoicing. When that happens, I’m sure this application will sky rocket in its following. Awesome stuff.

From the SLIMTIMER you can create tasks and even share them with your coworkers and those you report to. Open the SLIMTIMER and click on a task to start the clock and click again when you’re finished. If you’ve completed the task click the checkbox to mark it off. Close the browser when you’re done. Run reports of not only your time but also that of your coworkers and reportees. You can export any report to CSV(Excel), subscribe to its RSS feed, or email it to a colleague.

Adobe Photoshop Express is a Flash-based image editing web application from Adobe used to directly edit photos on blogs and social networking sites, so that users do not have to download or upload images. Similar to Picnik, the application currently works with sites such as Facebook, Flickr, Picasa andPhotobucket. 

Currently in beta, features include a touchup tool, soft focus, black and white capabilities, layering of fixes and effects, storage space, sketch effect, albums, and 3D online galleries.

This online app is very interesting. It helps a group of people do project easy and fun. It helps the users to manage their time and plans in getting the project done. It will help people become a lot more productive because it is an anti-procrastinating app. Well i just made that up but from what I see with this powerful app, it can really be the anti-procrastinating app because it keeps everything on schedule. Like for example the Data part of the project should be done by monday, it will remind all the users to finish that project before monday to keep everything on track. Check it out:)

30 Boxes is a website that supports drag-and-drop capabilities, one-click editing, plain-language event adding, as well as unique features aimed towards social networkers. Calendars can contain feeds from Twitter, Blogger, MySpace, Facebook, WordPress, Vox, and Upcoming.org, which generates a social timeline listing all of a user's recent online activity.
